i LOVE doing nothing. i like thinking about doing nothing, driving to do nothing and even laughing at old times when we did NOTHING!!
let me illustrate:
i take last load from my house and pile on my mom's floor to be sorted and organized another day bc i have to move out TODAY and drive to utah TOMORROW. debate on where to eat dinner. decide no food, just a drink sounds good on a hot vegas evening.
jon and i drive to tropical smoothie. get 4 smoothies. they come in one of those good carrying kind of take out things for drinks- it has a handle! rocking out to track #2 of some kid's love mix, and get succesfully through 2 of 3 roundabouts... (you see where this is going). third hits. we arrive at jordi's with ZERO out of 4 smoothies and jon's car smells like strawberry raspberry orange. :) i'm sure a shampoo is forthcoming.
sit on jordi's large brown ridiculously comfortable couch. me and brighton decide we STILL want smoothies!! drive back. it's 930. it closes at 9. go to nearby grocery store, buy frozen fruit (they come in those convenient carry things called UNOPENED BAGS!) and milk and get back all spill free!! make smoothies. (what the boys don't know if me and brighton have both had 3-4 hours of sleep, so after i stick my ENTIRE hand in the vitamix...(yes entire hand) we serve to 5 (even though both of us kept counting only 4...) friends.
the boys are in the study playing with guns. large ones. jon reenacts raiding a house and the guns get bigger and scarier each one they pick up and pretend to play halo with. trevor even boasts he could kill chuck norris with one he's holding. AHAHAAH (seriously?? chuck, you could take him, i know.)
trevor jon jordi brighton and me sit and watch wipe out. not kidding if you haven't seen it WATCH IT! stupid and a definite 10 on the entertainment mark. merzy shows up hooray!! she's never watch wipe out with us before and we all laugh. and laugh. and have a generally good time. "good night and big balls."
shows over.
we exchange heartfelt hugs and drive to our various beds and locations.
"lindsey, what did you do yesterday?"
"oh nothing :)"

vacation: leisure time, at least a whole day but usually longer (typical are one to three weeks), away from work or duty and devoted to rest or pleasure

my sister loved them. in fact my aunt gail has a video of her and my cousin tami (and i think kathryn, too) singing a song by them. ask me why once i watched aforementioned video? i have no response...
BUT WAIT!!!

listen to this. it seems that when leggings came back so did a few other things. i WILL NOT aquanet my hair, but i love this song. NKOTB is back baby.
(cue every 25 to 30 something women going crazy)

never a dull moment when with them.
tyler trevor mike jon.

you should've seen the pictures i couldn't take bc i was laughing too hard!
i definitely don't feel like a princess with them, nor an equal, but i definitely couldn't survive without them, and i know they would kick the TRASH out of anyone who was mean to me.
hooray!

kadee's wedding brought us all home together again. a few faces missing but SO GOOD to see those we love again!

1. it's easier to be grateful when everything falls apart.
2. it's smarter to keep something you love than try and get it back again.
3. it's more fulfilling to dream and make plans then to settle.
4. it's happier to smile even when you don't feel like it.
5. it's better to hit rock bottom and feel the exhilaration of climbing back up than stay the same.
EVERYTHING WILL GET BETTER!! it ALWAYS does... :)

i found out today i was severely spoilt. (enter my sibling's reactions of "yes we knew this")
i watched sense and sensibility today with my friend brakell. she had NEVER seen it before. NEVER? how is this insanity possible??
she was duly forewarned that i knew all the lines, laughed and cried just before cue, AND it was my favorite movie ever, so if she didn't like it our friendship was on the line. no pressure.
we watched. we laughed. we cried. fell in love, got broken hearts and saw them mended yet again.

thanks mother wendy for raising me on british books movies and television. specifically for one, a miss jane austen. "headstrong pigheaded girl i'm ashamed of you!" i may never be satisfied til willoughby comes to me in the rain "she fell down, she fell down and he's carrying her", or mr darcy stands and tells me how much he "ardently admires and loves" me, or until captain wentworth leaves me a note "i am half agony, half hope" (see sidebar). you may also be the reason i am not content with the guys i date bc i desire "he drives a barouche!" however, i am grateful i know what a fortnight is, how to properly act in "all good society" and to dance many a country dance.
"there comes a point when a man must follow his father's advice... i shall go to bed directly!"

best thing about not having a job thus far: hike with all the anderson girls & ALL the kids.

(the title is for pure parental reaction only.)

i have a friend named jon (aforementioned in a previous blogging blog). he has his own business & has a lot of time during the day.
i have no job & i have a lot of time during the day.

since the last week has been about the loneliest and longest week ever, jon "moved in."

this is our food cupboard. he has the second and fourth shelves. no seriously, not kidding. thats his soda & cereal.

every afternoon he calls me to check in, walks in the front door and calls out "honey i'm home!" we often watch deadliest catch, a movie or just sit & talk. we go on errands and generally have a nice time not being alone in our free time.

when i'm frustrated or tired, jon is there like the best brother you can ask for- naturally he bugs me and doesn't let me nap, and he gets me out of the house when i want to stay IN, and laughs at me when i'm mad or crying.

this is DEFINITELY NOT my milk in my fridge. he drinks CHEESE.

here is meredith & jon. blogging :)

but seriously. he doesn't live with me. but it has been nice to have someone around who doesn't really ask me to do anything. he listens to me cry and whine and then tells me to get my butt up and out :) thanks jon.

i am in love with third eye blind.
i know you shouldn't be in love with bands with multiple members from the 90's but there it is!
i am always in the mood for them. i never get tired of it. i put them on mixes for other people in hopes that they, too, can share the musical rush that is this san franciscan foursome.
the crazy thing is, i have a mental connection with my ipod and computer. no, guys i'm serious!! stop laughing and rolling eyes. about every third song that plays on my ipod is third eye blind. AND it has nothing to do with the ratio of 3EB songs:non3EB songs- not kidding!

scenario 1:
here's lindsey driving along in hot las vegas and a relaxing slow song comes on. common occurrence, right? about half way through, i'm not feelin' it. not the mood i'm in. lazy though i be, i push next.
the heaven's open the angel's sing and......
on comes crystal baller by none other than third eye blind! HALLELUJAH!!!!

break 2:
lindsey's feeling angry- BOOM!! thanks a lot by 3EB.

third times a charm:
feeling lovey dovey- hoorah! good man or i want you on comes by 3EB.
i could go on for hours.

coincidence or mental telepathic connection betwixt man and itunes?
you tell me.

"i love these! there's 16!"-Merzy

If i could go back to nj, i'd take myself to a phillies 4th game.
i'd sit with my friends and laugh and talk. i'd eat swedish fish and spit sunflower seeds. afterwards i'd watch in awe singing along with the songs to the fireworks and still get excited like a little kid!
oh wait.
or i could sit in the grass at a las vegas 51's game.
i'll take it!

refer to merzy's post.

normally i dont like flowers. i dont find their smell appealing. however when said flowers are ridiculously pretty and a nice gesture(especially bc she drove to vons out of her way to get them) from lenzi. i love them.

independence- a poem by lindsey anderson

on july 4th our fore fathers laid
the foundation for a country great
i like my religion, my vote, my taxes
i can wear what i want! i can speech to the maxes!

last day at leavitt, july 3rd it is
no more stuffy cubi, closed shoes, office shiz
what opportunities ahead! any job any place!
i can teach, live in NY or travel to space!

oh the world of singledom i again i enter thee
this time july 2nd was the date to be
a few tears shed, but lo! whats in store?
maybe that guy out there is all that he was and more!!

no matter the hill, the climb, the doughnut
its all gonna be good, just get out there and own-up
take your sprinkles and filling, take the good and the bad
think of it as LIFE and ne'er be sad!
