independence- a poem by lindsey anderson
on july 4th our fore fathers laid
the foundation for a country great
i like my religion, my vote, my taxes
i can wear what i want! i can speech to the maxes!
last day at leavitt, july 3rd it is
no more stuffy cubi, closed shoes, office shiz
what opportunities ahead! any job any place!
i can teach, live in NY or travel to space!
oh the world of singledom i again i enter thee
this time july 2nd was the date to be
a few tears shed, but lo! whats in store?
maybe that guy out there is all that he was and more!!
no matter the hill, the climb, the doughnut
its all gonna be good, just get out there and own-up
take your sprinkles and filling, take the good and the bad
think of it as LIFE and ne'er be sad!

roses are red,
violets are blue,
i'm bummed you're leaving,
but let's dump it all and go to NY.
